    Hardware Overview Back Panel PoE In + Data 10/100/1000 Ethernet port supports data and PoE In + Data 802.3af PoE input. The UAP-IW-HD itself requires 11W. 802.3at PoE+ input is required to use PoE passthrough. Connect this port to a UniFi Switch with PoE that is connected to your LAN and DHCP server.

    Bottom Panel Reset PoE Out + LAN 1 LAN 3 LAN 4 LAN 2 10/100/1000 Ethernet port supports data PoE Out + LAN 1 and PoE passthrough (requires 802.3at PoE+ input). The maximum PoE passthrough output is 12W. Note: To power and connect an 802.3af device to the LAN, you must use 802.3at PoE+ input.

    Hardware Installation An electrical wall box should be pre‑installed with an Ethernet cable running from the box to a UniFi Switch with PoE. 1. Detach the UAP-IW-HD from the Back Plate. 2. Pull the Ethernet cable through the Back Plate, and attach the Back Plate to the wall box using the Wall‑Mount Screws.
  • Page 11 3. Connect the Ethernet cable in the wall box to the port labeled PoE IN + DATA. 4. Attach the UAP-IW-HD to the Back Plate using the two Torx or Phillips Screws.
  • Page 12 5. Attach the Cover Plate to the bottom of the UAP-IW-HD. Then press the Cover Plate into position until the Security and mounting tabs snap into place. 6. Optional: Secure the Cover Plate to the UAP-IW-HD using the included Torx or Phillips Security Screw.
