3. System Connection

3.1 Usage Precautions

1. System should be installed in a clean environment.
2. Ensure that all of the power cords and plugs are not damaged, if there are any signs of damage DO NOT Use and send
back to the Supplier.
3. All devices should be connected before power on.

3.2 Typical System Diagram

3.3 Connection Procedure

1. Connect an HDMI cable between the HDMI source (such as Blue-ray) and the HDMI input on the HTX 1HLP4K.
2. Plug an RJ45 Patch lead in to the HDBT OUT socket of HTX 1HLP4K and the other in to the wall socket of the
installed CAT5e infrastructure. At the Zone, plug an RJ45 patch lead into the HRX 1LP4K HDBT IN socket and the other
end in to the wall socket. Once this is complete, Plug in the power supply and switch "ON" the Units, the blue "LINK "
LED's will illuminate.
3. Plug an HDMI cable between the HDTV and the HDMI input socket on the HTX 1HLP4K.
4. Plug the IR Transmitter in to the HTX1HLP4K 3.5mm jack socket, and fix the transmitter over the IR Receiver on the
Source device. Plug the IR Receiver in to the IR IN 3.5mm jack socket on the HRX 1LP4K receiver. This will create an
IR path from the Zone back to the Transmitter and pass the command signals through to the Source device. There is
the option to connect an IR Receiver to the Transmitter and an IR Transmitter to the Receiver, normally this will be used
to turn "OFF" the TV's from the Transmitters location.

The Transmitter and Receiver have an RS 232 connection point, normally used for 3rd party control.

Plug in the power supply and tighten up the screw locking nut. The power supply can either be connected to the
Transmitter or Receiver. There is no need to plug a power supply in at both locations as units have a Bi-directional
powering function called Power over Ethernet (PoE). The 24VDC power adaptor's come with interchangeable plug tops
for UK, EU and AU/NZ.
