Maintenance
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts
may create a hazard or cause product damage.
WARNING:
Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during power
tool operation or when blowing dust. If operation is dusty, also wear a dust mask.
WARNING:
Before inspecting, cleaning or servicing the machine, unplug the power cord
and wait for all moving parts to stop. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious
personal injury or property damage.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage
from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths
to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products,
penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic, which may result in serious personal injury.
Only the parts that are shown on the parts list are intended to be repaired or replaced by the
user. For replacement of allother parts, call the toll-free helpline, at 1-866-523-5218.

MAINTENANCE TIPS:

Before using the tiller, verify the condition of the tines. If the ends come to a sharp point, they
may be worn and in need of replacement. Check the hitch pins that secure the tines to the shaft.
Tighten any loose bolts. Clean dirt and materials from the tiller before storage. When storing for
an extended period of time, it is recommended that light machine oil or grease be applied to the
tines and the shaft in order to prevent rust.
NOTE: Do not spray unit with water. If TINES are cleaned with water, remove from tiller first than
clean with water hose. If water is applied to tines, they must be oiled prior to storage to avoid rust
build up.
