INTRODUCTION The Cab Code 917P is designed to be fitted to the Hayter LT322 2WD Triple Turf Mower or the LT324 4WD Triple Turf Mower using Fitting Kit Code 919R. This allows the mower to be used on slopes up to a maximum of 22 degrees depending on ground conditions and provides limited safety protection in the event of a roll-over.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE IN ADDITION TO THOSE CONTAINED IN THE MACHINE OPERATOR’S MANUAL UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED. READ AND UNDERSTAND THE SEPARATE MACHINE OPERATOR’S MANUAL BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO FIT THE CAB.

CAB GENERAL ASSEMBLY INTRODUCTION To assemble the Cab to the LT322 and LT324 you will require Cab Code 917P and Fitting Kit Code 919R. Check that all parts have been correctly supplied. Check against the Delivery Check List on page 1.10-1.11.

Drill out the two chassis mounting holes on the front tool box bracket to diameter 10.5mm. Remove and discard the rearmost fuel tank mounting fasteners on each side of the machine. (For early LT322 and LT324 Turf Mowers, refer to page 1.20).

Support the weight of the cab with the lifting equipment and rotate the cab frame rearwards to locate onto the rear isolator mounts (items 35).

CAB GENERAL ASSEMBLY ASSEMBLY Continued. Early LT322 and LT324 Turf Mowers will require some hole sizes to be increased and additional holes to be added to enable the cab to be fitted. WARNING: PREVENT ACCIDENTS - Always wear eye protection when drilling.
If a beacon kit is required when a cab is fitted it must be assembled to the cab roof. An optional Beacon Kit (Code 926R) is available from your Hayter dealer and full fitting instructions are included. If a beacon is already fitted to the engine cover of the machine, it must be refitted to the cab roof.

18. Rotate the ignition switch to the ‘I’ position. Depress the beacon switch and check that the beacon rotates and flashes correctly. 19. Finally replace the operator platform securing bolts and torque to the correct settings. (Refer to LT322 or LT324 Operators Manual - Code P Models) .
1.25 1.25 MAINTENANCE COMMISSIONING THE CAB - Fill the washer bottle with water / windscreen wash fluid. - Operate the windscreen wiper / washer switch and check for correct operation. - Lubricate the door pivot points with grease. - Operate the door mechanism and ensure correct operation. DAILY - Check that all nuts and bolts are secure and in good condition.
1.26 1.26 MAINTENANCE TO RE-ASSEMBLE THE CAB WARNING - PREVENT ACCIDENTS: The following procedures should be performed with the aid of an assistant. Lower all cutterheads to rest on the ground. Apply the parking brake, switch off the engine and remove the ignition key. Connect up suitable lifting equipment (capable of lifting 350 kg safely) and arrange the lifting straps as shown in fig.
