1. Safety precautions

1.1. General safety precautions

Read the entire manual carefully before you set-up and start the instrument.
Please adhere to all information. Non-compliance may result in injury to the us-
ers or damage to the instrument. In order to not adversely influence the instru-
ment's inbuilt safety measures, the instrument may not be installed or used in
any other way than specified in the in the manual.

1.2. Chemical and biological safety

Potential dangers can arise due to exposition to chemical or biological sub-
stances.
Working with chemical samples, standards and reagents bears certain risks.
We recommend for all users of such products to look into safety measures,
proper use of chemicals and the respective MSDS prior to using the instrument
and chemicals.
When using the instrument normally, it may be necessary to handle dangerous
substances or biologically harmful samples.
• Before handling any such dangerous / harmful substances, you need to pay
attention to all hazard statements and safety precautions on the chemical's
package and in the MSDS.
• All used solutions have to be disposed of according to national law and regu-
lations.
• Chose your safety equipment to fit the concentration and amount of hazard-
ous chemical at your work place.
