PROBLEM
14. ROCKS JAMMING IN END OF REEL AND
LOCKING UP REEL
15. HARROW PLUGGING
16. WINGS FOLDING TOO FAST
17. MACHINE RUNNING DEEP TO ONE SIDE
18. CYLINDERS BROKEN IN TRANSPORT
PROBABLE CAUSE:SOLUTION
A. REEL BLADE TOO LONG:
Cut 1-1/2" off the end of reel blade.
B. REEL ANGLE WRONG FOR TERRAIN:
Cut blade off at angle toward rear of blade to provide
a relief area for rocks.
A. IMPROPERLY SET HARROW:
Set according to operating instructions.
A. RESTRICTOR ELBOWS NOT INSTALLED:
Check to make sure restrictors are installed per
assembly instructions.
B. HYDRAULIC FLOW PROBLEM:
Idle tractor when folding.
Turn tractor hydraulic flow down.
Engage hydraulic valve. Hold fully engaged until
folded.
A. DISTANCE FROM FRAME TO AXLE OF GAUGE
WHEELS DIFFER:
1) Set all depth stops the same. 2) Lower machine
into ground and move until it is at operating depth. 3)
Stop. 4) Measure from bottom of the frame to a
common point on each gauge wheel assembly. 5) If
measurements are not the same loosen cylinder
yoke clamping screw, and screw yokes onto or off of
cylinder rod until they are the same distance from
the frame to the previously selected common point
on both gauge wheels. 6) Tighten cylinder yoke
clamping screw before operating machine.
Wing cylinders may need to vary in length from main
cylinders, per soil conditions.
Check that tires are same size and pressure is
correct.
Check for hydraulic leakage and repair.
A. MACHINE NOT PROPERLY SECURED DURING
TRANSPORT:
Use transport locks and let machine down on locks
during transport.
