Symbols are used in this manual to draw your attention to potential hazards. The safety symbols and the accompanying

Wear ear-muffs!
Wear a breathing mask. Dust which is injurious to health can be generated when work-
ing on wood and other materials. Never use the tool to work on any materials containing
asbestos!
Wear safety goggles. Sparks generated during working or splinters, chips and dust emit-
ted by the device can cause loss of sight.
WARNING! Risk of injury! Never reach into the planing knife during operation.
Wear protective gloves when changing the blade!
