EMERGENCY START
Engine(s) can not be started from the helm?
Engine(s) can not start because too little power?
Make sure that the gearbox is disengaged with every emergency start!
SPACE has an emergency start system in the engine compartments. (see also page 54)

Version 1:
Engine can not be started from the helm.
Should an engine no longer start from the helm, there is
an emergency start button directly on each engine.

If an engine can no longer be switched off from the helm, there are several other options:

➔ There is a red emergency start button in both engine compartments.
➔ All batteries couple with the battery coupling system

Version 2:
Not enough power to start.
If too little power is available for the starting process,
you can also use the coupling switch to connect the
battery banks and then start them. Once the engine is
running, the switch must be disconnected immediately.
The Volvo-Penta engines are diesel engines. These have the
property of acting on interruption of the fuel supply.
You can therefore mechanically prevent the diesel supply
directly to the engine, they should not be able to turn off the
helm. The lever is yellow and signed with "STOP".
Hold it until the engine stops.
Another way to turn off the engine: In the rear port cabin under
the bed is the fuel tank. Directly on it are the fuel line taps, which
you can also turn off. However, the engine will continue running
for some time – up to a few minutes – because fuel is still in the
fuel line up to the diesel pump.
