The AUTO timing setting adjusts to the displays default/best resolution and will send video with the appropriate resolution accordingly. (For example, if a display can only accept up to 3840x2160 60Hz, and the source is sending a 1920x1080p 60Hz signal, it will automatically upscale to 3840x2160 60Hz. If a display can only accept up to 1920x1080p 60Hz, but the source is sending a 3820x2160 60Hz signal, it will automatically downscale to 1920x1080p 60Hz.)
