1. Installing a Saw Blade
a. Disconnect the saw from the power supply.
b . Rotate the tool-less blade clamp (C)
counterclockwise and hold it open.
c . Insert the saw blade (B) until it is fully seated.
d . Release the tool-less blade clamp to secure the
blade.
2. Removing a Saw Blade
a. Disconnect the saw from the power supply.
b . Rotate the tool-less blade clamp (C)
counterclockwise and remove the blade (B).
noTe: Blade Selection – To obtain the best performance
from the saw, it is important to select the correct blade for
the particular application and type of material to be cut.
Blades with fewer teeth, e.g. 10 teeth per inch (TPI), are
typically used for cutting wood; blades with more teeth
are better for cutting metal or plastic. We recommend 14
TPI blades for plastics and soft metals and 18 TPI blades
for hard metals.
noTe: The blade can be installed with the teeth facing
up or down.
WarninG: This saw should not be used for
pruning. Failure to heed this warning could cause loss of
control and can result in possible serious injury.
WarninG: Use only a standard reciprocating saw
blade. Never try to use T- or U-shaped jig saw blade.
