Equipment for emergency
open lid.
It can be damage if hang any thing
on equipment for emergency trunk
lid open. Do not hang or put any
thing on the equipment for open
the truck lid.
This equipment is available in order
to help the person to open the truck
lid from inside.
This equipment will be glow in the
dark. To pull it down to open the
the trunk from the inside.
Tailgate (Hatchback)
Opening
To open the tailgate, push the
touchpad when the tailgate is
unlocked.
The tailgate is locked or unlocked
when all doors are locked or unlocked
with the radio remote control.
To unlock the tailgate, insert the key
into the key slot and turn it anti-
clockwise. Lift the tailgate.
9 Warning
Do not drive with the tailgate open
or ajar, e.g. when transporting
bulky objects, since toxic exhaust
gas could enter the vehicle.
Caution
Before opening the tailgate check
overhead obstructions, such as a
garage door, to avoid damage of
the tailgate. Always check the
moving area above and behind the
tailgate.
Note
When the engine is running, the
tailgate can be opened with shift
lever in "P" position (automatic
transmission) or the parking brake
applied (manual transmission).
Note
The installation of certain heavy
accessories onto the tailgate may
affect its ability to remain open.
