If proper adjustment cannot be obtained
by this method, visit your Honda dealer.
After adjustment, push the brake arm to
confirm that there is a gap between the
rear brake adjusting nut and the brake arm
pin.
After adjustment, confirm the free play of
the brake pedal.

Other Checks:
Make sure the brake arm, spring and
fasteners are in good condition.

Rear Brake Fluid Level: (for Disc brake)
With the vehicle in a side right position,
check the fluid level. It should be above the
"LOWER Level Mark" (1). If the level is at
or below the LOWER level mark, check the
brake pads for wear (page 61).

Worn pads should be replaced. If the pads
are not worn, have your brake system
inspected for leaks.
The recommended brake fluid is Honda DOT
3 or 4 brake fluid from a sealed container,
or an equivalent.
