Near Field Communication (NFC) module

NFC antenna
NFC cable (included in Cable Kit)
Before removing the NFC module, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Bottom cover (see
b. Battery (see
c. Hard drive (see
d. Solid-state drive (see
e. WWAN module (see
f. Keyboard (see
g. Internal frame (see
Remove the NFC module:
1. Disconnect the system board cable from the NFC module ZIF connector (1).
2. Disconnect the NFC antenna cable (that connects to the TouchPad) from the NFC module reverse ZIF
connector (2).
