The SmartWire-Darwin input/output modules (abbreviated:
I/O modules) are used for the connection of other sensor and
actuator devices. These can be, for example, auxiliary
switches of additional switching devices that have
integrated SmartWire-Darwin technology. The modules are
placed in the immediate vicinity of the sensors/actuators,
due to which the remaining wiring is markedly reduced.
Diverse modules with digital inputs and outputs in the form
of transistors and relays are available.
