3.12 Parts set 0 986 613 392
The parts set is used in conjunction with mounting
device 0 986 613 400 to install new spring capsules on
unit injectors.
The parts set consists of the following parts:

In the event of damage or loss of any parts, the
parts set must be replaced in its entirety.
3.13 Vacuum connection adapters
The adapters provide the vacuum connection from the
mounting unit 0 986 610 897 to the UI-P:

Adapter 1 687 023 753 for connection to UI-P 1.x
R
Adapter 1 687 023 754 for connection to UI-P 2

Risk of incorrect installation of valve needles in the
solenoid valve assembly as the result of a worn or
damaged sealing ring.
Inspect the sealing ring on the adapter's vacuum
supply for wear or damage prior to every use. If wear
or damage is present, it is not possible to achieve
sufficient vacuum for installation of the valve needle.
In this case, replace the sealing ring.
3.14 Leak tester
Following the repair of UI-P, leak testers are used to
check for any leakage in the area of the solenoid valve
or valve needle seal (cover or screw plug):

Leak tester 0 986 610 829 for connection to UI-P 1.x

Leak tester 0 986 613 391 for connection to UI-P 2
The connection to the workshop's compressed-air sys-
tem is established with the aid of hose assembly
0 986 610 795.
The leak test takes place in an oil bath with clean test
oil and is conducted at a test pressure of 800 KPa
(8 bar).

3.15 Tool case 0 986 613 930
The case is used to store the most important measuring
devices and special tools for repair of UI-P (see also
section 4 "Initial commissioning").

Ensure that after use all tools are placed in the case
only in clean condition (see also section 6.2 "Clean-
ing tools").
3.16 Shim case 0 986 613 940
The case is used to store all shims required for repair
of any UI-P variants (see also section 4 "Initial commis-
sioning").
The case is supplied with:

Storage tins

Stickers for storage tins

Position diagram for storage tins

Shims are spare parts and not included with the tool
