OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE

Seed Rate Adjustment

1. The seeding rate is adjusted for each section with the
seed rate adjustment handle (See Figure 4-19.) The
seeding rate should be set the same for all sections.
a. To set the seeding rate, first determine from the
seed rate chart the meter opening for the desired
seed rate (See Figure 4-21.)
b. Loosen the locking nut securing the seed rate
adjustment handle.
c. The seed rate adjustment handle assembly has
a graduated scale above the handle that
corresponds to the meter opening.
d. Align the slot in the handle to the appropriate
meter opening.
2. Do not force the handle or damage may occur to the
meter assemblies. The meter will not be able to be
fully closed if there is seed in the box.
