Data Format: Sends data packets once per second. Includes a second counter that allows the
host to detect if packets are missing and the device to retransmit.
Quality of Service: This device uses fully qualified Bluetooth V4.1 specification with Bluetooth
Smart ready technology for wireless communications, which allows for reliable
communications in electrically noisy environments, and transmits physiological data once per
second. If data is lost, the device will transmit data again one second later. If the connection
is lost, the BOLT application - Bluetooth symbol will change from Blue to Grey and become
available for a connection in a few seconds.

Bluetooth Security: The Bluetooth radio contained in the Base unit is a Bluetooth Smart
single-mode, low-energy radio. Generic Attribute Profile (GATT) and SPP profiles are
implemented for devices to connect through BLE or Bluetooth 4.1+. BOLT device supports a
single Bluetooth connection at any point in time. Apart from the standard Bluetooth security
measures, Amzetta has implemented a proprietary protocol in the BOLT device that can be
parsed only by those devices running BOLT application.
