Please contact your health care professional if the measurement
value of SpO2 is in the abnormal range.
A functional tester cannot be used to assess the accuracy of the
pulse Oximeter probe or the accuracy of the B.O.L.T pulse oximeter.
The responsible organization can verify the functionality (but not
the accuracy) of the SpO2 sensor with a functional tester. A functional
tester such as the Fluke ProSim 8 Vital Signs Patient Monitor Simulator is
suitable for this purpose.
13. Temperature Measurement Procedures using Infrared
Thermometer
Indication of Use:
The IRT probe(Infrared Thermometer) is designed for measuring the body temperature from
the ear canal of an intended operator (patient/user) in home, hospital or clinical
environment.
Mandatory instructions to be followed during temperature measurement
 Relax yourself/user in a comfortable position.
 For persons wearing hearing aids or earplugs, remove the device and wait 20 minutes
prior to taking a temperature measurement.
 Use new probe cover for each measurement.
 Place the thermometer probe firmly into the ear canal for accurate measurement.
 Remain stable during the measurement.
 Wait until the application displays the measured temperature.
 The IRT Probe (Infrared Thermometer) should be connected to the base unit via the
accessory port in the base unit, The IRT probe will not work indipendnetly.
