Install/Replace the PCIe Card
Remove the Top Panel
1. Loosen the two captive screws at the rear of the top
panel that secure it.
2. Slide the panel toward the rear about one-half inch
(1.25cm).
3. Lift the panel off and set it aside.
Remove the PCIe Card/Access Cover
1. Remove and retain the two screws securing the locking
bracket to the PCIe slot.
2. Remove and retain the locking bracket.
3. Do one of the following:
• Remove the PCIe card from the slot on the board and
set aside on an ESD surface. Continue with
Mounting
Bracket.
• Remove the Access Cover from the rear panel opening
and set it aside. Continue with
Swap the Mounting Bracket
1. Remove and retain the two screws securing the
mounting bracket to the old PCIe card.
2. Remove the mounting bracket from the old card and
position it on the new card.
3. Using the retained screws, secure the bracket to the
new PCIe card.
Install the PCIe Card
1. Seat the PCIe card in the same slot on the board with the
card aligned in the rear panel opening.
2. Reinstall the locking bracket and, using the retained
screws, secure the PCIe card.
Reinstall the Top Panel
1. Position the top panel with no more than one-half inch
(1.25cm) extending out over the rear of the unit.
2. Slide the panel forward until it is fully seated.
3. Using the two captive screws on the rear of the top
panel, secure it.

Swap the
