Patient Pendant Operation

The patient pendant allows the patient to operate the
bed. Operation is performed the same as side rail and
foot panel controls. Patient and caregiver can use
the pendant to adjust all mattress support platform
sections to desired positions.
1. Push button to raise back
2. Push button to lower back
3. Push button to raise bed
4. Push button to lower bed
5. Push button to raise knee
6. Push button to lower knee
7. Push button for Comfort Chair
8. Push button to lower both head and knee
to flat and place bed at transfer height

Additional Features

Nurse Call Connectivity
To connect bed to a nurse call system, a
standard 37 pin connection and ¼" jack are
located at the head end of the bed below the
mattress support platform (Figure 11). When
connected, bed will send an alarm signal to the nurse
call station if Nurse Call button is pressed on the
patient control panel or the patient control hand
pendant. In addition, the nurse call station will be
signaled if bed exit alarm is triggered (See scale
section for operation).

Safety Stop System (Premium Model Only)
The bed is equipped with a safety stop system to avoid
injury or damage due to obstructions from objects
placed under the bed frame. The bed is designed
to detect when contact is made with an object while
lowering.
Operation:
When lowering the bed, if an item is obstructing the
Hi/Lo operation, the bed will stop lowering. Once
the obstruction is contacted, the bed will stop and
raise approximately 1.5 inches to free any potential
obstruction.
