SAFETY

1.1

Safety instructions

Warning of dangerous electrical voltage!
To prevent electric shocks, always comply with the following
instructions:
Repairs may be carried out by a qualified electrician only!
The user may be put at risk and injured by improper repairs!
Observe the installation and repair instructions for the
appliances!
If the appliance is faulty, the housing and frame may be live!
Electric shock may occur if live components are touched
inside the appliance!
Before commencing repairs, disconnect the appliance from
the power supply!
If tests have to be performed while the appliance is live,
always use a residual-current-operated circuit-breaker!
When repairs are complete, conduct a test in accordance
with VDE 0701 or the corresponding national regulations!
The protective conductor is crucial for personal safety and
appliance function.
The test in accordance with VDE 0701 is conducted via the
mains plug. Measure the protective conductor resistance,
insulation resistance and substitute leakage or protective
conductor current and check the measured values!
When repairs are complete, perform a function and safety
test.

Repair instructions

To prevent unnecessary repair costs, observe the following repair
instructions:
NEVER attempt repairs by randomly replacing components!
Always proceed systematically and observe the trouble-
shooting instructions in the technical documentation.
As a rule, components are not repaired but are completely
replaced with original spare parts. Exceptions are documented
separately.
