Read the instructions concerning the air supply controls.
The stove is painted with a heat resistant paint. With the first firing, this paint gradually sets and
some fumes of a characteristic odour may be given off in the process. Therefore ventilate the
room during this phase.
When firing the stove for the first time, do not place any objects on the stove and do not touch the
painted parts to avoid possible damage to the unset coat of the paint

Suitable fuel

The Stove is designed for the exclusive firing with wood and wood briquettes, which have a low
content of ash, and these are beech, hornbeam, birch and other.
It is desirable that the fuel wood is dry, i.e., that its dampness does not exceed 20%. Firing with
damp wood generates fat soot that may clog the chimney.
Do not burn any waste, especially plastic material, in the Stove. Many waste materials contain
noxious substances detrimental to the Stove, the chimney and the environment.
Anyway, such waste burning is forbidden by law. Likewise, do not burn plywood residues, as
plywood contains veneers that may cause overheating.

Recommendations for fuel wood quantity added at a time:

Hew wood (length ~33cm)
Wood briquettes

Firing and normal operation

On newspaper with dry wood splinters put 2 to 3 smaller pieces of hewn wood. Fully open the
controller on the door.
Do not leave the stove unattended until the fire is strong enough so that you can be in full control
of the burning process.
Once the fire is strong enough, put 2 to 3 pieces of fuel. Abstain from putting too much fuel at
once.
In normal operation the door should be closed, except in refueling.
In order to avoid fuming through the door opening to the room, do not open the door and do not
add fuel while fire is strongly burning.
If your flue gas pipe has an installed flap, keep it fully open until fire is ablaze.
The Stove is so designed that has clean combustion.
Possible causes of bad combustion:
For setting fire never use spirit, gasoline or another liquid fuel. Do not keep any volatile liquid
near the Stove!
Keep in mind that the parts of the Stove are hot and that the Stove may be handled only by
adults. THEREFORE, USE PROTECTIVE GLOVE! (pos. 310).

Power control

Power control requires some more experience, due to various factors involved, such as the
2 to 3 pieces
2 pieces
• bad chimney
• choked air supply (door controller closed)
• inappropriate or damp firewood
• too much fuel added
