Procedure

steP 1 See PIC.1. On each side of the bike, "peel" the rubber boot at the base of each
mirror back from the fairing. Pay attention how this attaches to the fairing, as this will
simplify re-assembly.
steP 2 See PIC.2. Remove the fairing trim molding that runs along each side of the fairing
– this molding snaps into place.
steP 3 For each side, plug one of the 38" wire extensions into one of the "Y" adapter
plugs. On each "Y" plug, either of the plug-ins can be used. The remaining plug will be for the
Küryakyn mirror lights (not included), these can be added later. Route this wire through the
snap in fairing side molding cavity into the base area of the mirror.

  • Page 2 steP 4 See PIC.3. Look for the 3-wire turn signal/running light connectors under the rubber boots, where the mirrors join the fairing (peeled back in STEP 1). Disconnect these plugs (one each side). See PIC.4. Insert the Küryakyn “Y” adapters in-line – they will snap into place. steP 5 From the “Y” adapters, route the 38” wire extensions along the edge of the fairing PIc.4 where the trim moldings were removed earlier (PIC.2). In the most direct, least conspicuous route possible, string the wire extensions so the remaining plug ends up at the rear end of the chrome strip above the cylinder heads. Remove the small clear plastic “air foils” at the ends of these strips. steP 6 With glass cleaner, thoroughly clean the chrome strips. Remove the adhesive backing from each of the lights and affix them to the chrome strips. steP 7 Carefully plug the extension into the light as shown in PIC.5. steP 8 Replace the rubber boot onto the fairing in the same manner it was removed. steP 9 Replace the fairing trim molding on the fairing by snapping it into place. PIc.5 steP 10 Test for proper run and turn function WITH THE BIKE RUNNING. If the running light runs in the bright mode, and the turn signal flashes in the dim mode, simply remove the plug from the light, invert it, and re-plug it into the light. Ride On!
