Please note
It is the installers' responsibility to make sure all fasteners (including pre-assembled) are
tightened before operation of motorcycle. Küryakyn will not warranty components that are
lost due to improper installation. Periodic maintenance may be required.

Torx wrench set, set of hex wrenches, set of combination wrenches, Phillips screwdriver, and
general-purpose thread locker.
ATTenTIon! A factory service manual may be helpful in performing this installation. Do not
attempt to perform this installation if you are not confident in your ability to complete all
steps in the procedure; consult a trained technician.
ATTenTIon! When routing the wiring harness, be sure to keep the wiring away from any
moving parts, pinch points or extreme heat. Küryakyn WILL NOT warranty any electrical
component that fails due to pinched, crimped, broken, abraded, melted or frayed wires.

steP 1 Park the motorcycle on a hard, level surface.
steP 2 Shut off ignition and allow engine to cool.

- Page 2 steP 3 Remove the seat; disconnect the battery. steP 4 Remove the right side saddlebag. Refer to your owner’s manual. steP 5 Remove the two Torx head bolts from the strut; set aside, they will not be re-used.
