6. CONNECTION TO THE ELECTRICAL NETWORK

6.1. The connection of the container to the electrical network must be of a permanent
design. Wall sockets may not be used.
6.2. Cable connection must be implemented from the hot water tank to the isolation
switch, which must be incorporated in the fixed wire network. The overcurrent
protection of the isolation switch must be ensured using a miniature circuit
breaker.
6.3. The current of the electric system has to be connected to the container through a
two-pole switch (disconnecting all poles) ensuring full disconnection in an
environment of overvoltage category III. (At least 3mm separation distance
between open poles.)
6.4. The required mains cable wire diameter is 1.5 mm
performance indicated on the plate.
Cable types suitable for connecting to the mains:
Adequate type (alternative type):
• H0 5 VVK (H0 5VVF);
• H0 5 RRK (H0 5RRF)
Connection with wire protection tube is not allowed!
6.5. Installation order:
To make the connection, remove the screws of the electrical safety cover, and then
the cover too, so that you can access the electrical assemblies. Figure 10.2.1 on
page 17 illustrates the basic connection, and Figure 10.2.1 on page shows re-wiring
to three phases; they are also posted on the cover of the assembly housing. After
connecting, use a clamping ring to protect the mains supply cable against pulling.
6.6. Contact protection rating of the appliance: I.
The electrical safety cover of electrical assemblies provides adequate protection
against accidental touching of powered parts during operation. Connect the
appliance phase aligned to the electrical network, in line with the connection
drawing shown both on the electrical safety cover and in Figures 10.2.1 or 10.2.2 in
page 17. We recommend to use a residual circuit breaker within the electrical
network of the facility.
6.7. It is FORBIDDEN to operate the hot water container without any protective
earthing!
The protective earthing must comply with the requirements under the MSZ HD
60364 standard. Connect the earth conductor (green & yellow) to the earthing bolt
on the cover. Thread the bare wire end under the earthing washer, and fix it with
the spring washer and nut.
