HOPPER SAFETY SUPPORT

CAUTION!
Before performing any maintenance procedure under or near to the lifted hopper, install the hopper support
rod (1, Fig. K). The hopper support rod holds the hopper lifted to allow working safely under it also when the
hydraulic system is faulty. Never rely on the machine's hydraulic components to safely support the hopper.

MACHINE LIFTING

WARNING!
Never work under a machine without safety stands or blocks to support the machine.
When lifting the machine with proper equipment, do so at designated locations (do not engage the equipment under the hopper) -
see jacking locations (3, Fig. C).

MACHINE TRANSPORT

WARNING!
Before transporting the machine on an open truck or trailer, make sure that:
All access doors are latched securely.
The machine is tied down securely.
The parking brake is engaged.
If the transport is made on pallet, the machine must be anchored to it. To anchor the machine, use 40x40 squared timbers placed
sideways (2, Fig. C) and in front/rear (1, Fig. C) of the wheels.

PUSHING/TOWING THE MACHINE

The drive system hydraulic pump (10, Fig. E for diesel model) (9, Fig. F for battery model) is equipped with a by-pass lever
(2, Fig. AF), which cuts off the drive pump when necessary. The system prevents damage to the hydraulic system when the
machine is being towed/pushed short distances without using the engine.
To reach the by-pass lever, lift the engine compartment hood (9, Fig. G/H) and hang it with the chain; the drive system pump
(1, Fig. AF) in the front side of the engine (9, Fig. F for diesel models) (8, Fig. G for battery models).
Turn the by-pass lever (2, Fig. AF) half-turn counter-clockwise and place it in vertical position (3, Fig. AF). In this confi guration the
hydrostatic lock between the engine and pump is released.
CAUTION!
The hydraulic pump can be damaged if the machine is towed when the hydraulic pump by-pass lever is in the
normal working position (horizontal).
NOTE
If the by-pass lever is left in unlocking position, the hydraulic pump cannot drive the machine.
NOTE
Tow or push the machine no faster than a normal walking pace (3-4.5 km/h) and for short distances only.
If the machine is to be moved long distances the driving wheels need to be raised off the fl oor and placed on a suitable
transport dolly.
After pushing/towing the machine, turn the by-pass lever to the original position (4, Fig. AF) to restore the hydraulic functions.
