Code 5 - Setting the Digital Output Status
This feature defines the status of the digital output when the keypad is 'sitting' or in an idle
state waiting for a user to enter a PIN. (Technical = status of output from orange wire with
respect to blue wire on the keypad). Option 0 (zero) is a 'switch off' output or normally
open (NO) contact on the orange wire with respect to blue wire on keypad. Option 1 is a
'switched on' output or normally closed (NC).
Option 0 (zero) default = output on orange wire OFF (NO)
Option 1 = output on orange wire ON (NC)
Steps to Set Digital Output Status
The following illustrates an example of setting the normally closed (NC) option.
1.
Set the keypad for programming mode. See page 8.
2.
Press the * (star) key followed by the 5 key on the keypad.
3.
Then press the # key followed by the 1 key for the normally closed (NC) option.
4.
Then press the # key. Three beeps confirm the code has been programmed.
If three beeps are not heard, repeat the preceding steps.

Exit programming mode by pressing and holding the # key until you hear the double
beep.
Code 6 - Program Digital Output Time
This feature sets the digital output time of activation on a valid PIN from 1 to 255 seconds.
Toggle Digital Output
If you set the time to zero seconds on a valid PIN the output will flip to its opposite state
and remain in that condition until another valid PIN entry. Entering another PIN number
will flip the output again and remain that way until another valid PIN entry. This is called
"toggling the digital output on a valid PIN."
Range is 0 to 255 seconds – default is 5 seconds

Steps to Set Digital Output Time
The following illustrates an example of setting the digital output time to 6 seconds.
1.
Set the keypad for programming mode. See page 8.
2.
Press the * (star) key followed by the 6 key on the keypad.
3.
Then press the # key followed by the 6 key on the keypad.
4.
Then press the # key. Three beeps confirm the code has been programmed.
If three beeps are not heard, repeat the preceding steps.
5.
Exit programming mode by pressing and holding the # key until you hear the double
beep.
