Steps to Change the Wiegand Bit Format
The following example illustrates setting Code 1 to the Wiegand 26 bit format.
1.
Set the keypad for programming mode. See page 8.
2.
Press the * (star) key, then press the 1 key on the keypad.
3.
Then press the # key followed by the 2 and 6 keys on the keypad.
4.
Then press the # key. Three beeps confirm the code has been programmed.
If three beeps are not heard, repeat the preceding steps.
5.
Exit programming mode by pressing and holding the # key until you hear the double
beep.
Code 2 – Facility Code
This feature determines the Wiegand facility code produced on a valid PIN entry. A facility
code is a portion of the Wiegand signal transmitted from the keypad. The facility code can
also be referred to as a batch code or a site code.
default facility code = 0 (zero)
facility code range: 0 to 255
facility code is generated as an output
Steps to Change the Facility Code
The following example illustrates setting Code 2 to a facility code of 100.
1.
Set the keypad for programming mode. See page 8.
2.
Press the * (star) key, then press the 2 key on the keypad.
3.
Then press the # key followed by the 1, 0 (zero), 0 (zero) keys on the keypad.
4.
Then press the # key. Three beeps confirm the code has been programmed.
If three beeps are not heard, repeat the preceding steps.
5.
Exit programming mode by pressing and holding the # key until you hear the double
beep.
Code 3 - Default Master Code
This feature allows re-programming the master code or installer's code in the keypad.
default master code – 9571
master code range - 1 to 9999
Note
Always document a new master code entry if altered. Space is provided below the example
instructions.
Steps to Change the Master Code
The following illustrates an example of changing the master code to 1111.
1.
Set the keypad for programming mode. See page 8.
2.
Press the * (star) key followed by the 3 key on the keypad.
3.
Press the # key followed by the 1, 1, 1, 1 keys on the keypad.
4.
Then press the # key. Three beeps confirm the code has been programmed.
If three beeps are not heard, repeat steps.
