Ensure that neither the roof box or the load carrier obstruct the tailgate. Note! Applies to V40: The roof box can be used together with the roof antenna and roof spoiler.

Insert the first U-bracket (D) upwards through the grommets (B). B8900865 Press the center section of the securing plates downward, pressing against the indicated pressure point (K) beside the lock handle (C).

This requires a force of approximately 50 N (11 lbf), there should be considerable tension. If this is not the case the U-bracket installation must be repeated.

- Page 8 Installation instructions, accessories Volvo Car Corporation Gothenburg, Sweden Transporting other goods Remove the ski holders by turning the clamp bolts to the open position. The clamp bolts are left in the roof box tensioner units. Use the straps supplied to secure the loads.

Fold down the safety bracket (E), open the locking handle (C) and fold it to the vertical position. Press down the center of the securing plate in the roof box with one hand.
