Display assembly

NOTE:
The display assembly is available at the subcomponent level only. See the removal section for each
component for information.
Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Disconnect the battery from the system board (see
Remove the display assembly:
1.
Disconnect the webcam module cable (1) from the system board.
2.
Remove the Phillips M2.0×2.9 screw (2) that secures the WLAN module and bracket to the system board.
(The WLAN module tilts up.)
3.
Remove the WLAN bracket (3).
The WLAN bracket is included in the Bracket Kit, spare part number L92206-001.
4.
Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables (4) from the terminals on the WLAN module.
NOTE:
WLAN antenna cable connects to the WLAN module #2/Aux terminal.
5.
Release the shielding (5) that covers the display panel cable connector.
6.
Release the adhesive strip (6) that secures the display panel cable to the system board.
