Remove the keyboard/top cover:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Close the computer and position it upside down with the front toward you.
5. Remove or loosen the following screws that secure the keyboard/top cover to the bottom cover:
(1) Two Phillips M2.0×5.7 screws
(2) Two Phillips M2.0×5.7 captive screws
(3) Two Phillips M2.5×8.7 screws
6. Open the computer and rest it on its right side with the rear toward you.
