1. Park the machine on a level surface. Ensure that the engine is OFF. Remove
the spark plug wire from the engine spark plug.
2. Remove the LH and RH drum drive gear box assemblies (item 8 in
28); refer to Removing the Drum Drive Gear Box Assembly (page
