15. Troubleshooting

In purchasing this device, you have acquired a product which has been designed with state-of-
the-art technology and is operationally reliable. However, problems and malfunctions may still
occur. This section tells you how to troubleshoot common issues:
Error
The device does not work.
The rechargeable battery
is not detected.
The charger triggers
a warning signal after
start-up.
The maximum set charging
current is not reached.
Repairs other than those described above should be performed only by an authorised
specialist. If you have any questions about handling the device, do not hesitate to
contact our technical support.

Potential cause
Is the power supply adequately
dimensioned? The power adapter
must be able to supply a minimum
current of 2.5 A.
The rechargeable battery contacts
are dirty or oxidised.
The rechargeable battery is
deeply discharged.
Once connected to the power
supply, the charger automatically
performs a self-test. Do not insert
a rechargeable battery during this
process.
When putting the device into
operation, rechargeable batteries
are located in the charging slot.
The maximum total charging
power of 25 W has been
exceeded.
A device has been plugged into
the rear USB charging port for
charging.
Solution
Use the included power adapter
or a suitable one for the power
supply.
Clean the rechargeable battery
poles and try again.
Try recharging the rechargeable
battery using the "Activation"
programme.
Remove rechargeable batteries
and take the charger out of
operation for approx. 5 minutes.
Reduce the current setting or
the number of rechargeable
battery cells.
Remove the device from the
USB charging port.
