Threading lhe machine
To Ihread your maehine eorreetly, lollow lhe steps below:
• Raise lake-up lever (8) lo highesl posilion by lurning hand wheel loward you.
• Raise presser

lo release Ihread tension.
• Plaee spool

Ihread on spool pin (1).
• Slide spool eap (2) lirmly over rim

spool lo prevenI Ihread langling .
• Lead Ihread lrom spool and snap into Ihread guide (3) and over (4).
• Thread lhe lension dises by leading Ihread down againsl lhe lab (6), as shown, belween
lhe lension dises and up under lhe spring on lhe left side. Hold lhe spool lighlly wilh
linger, pull Ihread genlly up and lo lhe righl, lifting lhe spring and allowing Ihread lo slip
inlo Ihread guardo Then, lead Ihread up behind Ihread gu ide (7).
• Slip Ihread into take-up lever as illuslraled (8).
• Pass Ihread Ihrough guides (9) and (10).
• Thread needle lrom tront lo back, pulling 4" (10 em)
