    Chapter 1 Avaya P460 Manager Overview The Avaya P460 Manager provides full management capabilities for Avaya P460 Devices. This includes the ability to view five aspects of device management: • Device Manager - Provides a view of the configuration of the device including VLAN configuration, configured LAGs, port mirroring, and traps.

    If you installed the Avaya P460 Manager as part of the Avaya MultiService Network Manager, the following sections provide instructions for starting Avaya P460 Manager. From the Avaya MultiService Console: 1. Select the label representing the Avaya P460 Device you want to manage. 2. Click Double-click the Avaya P460 Device.

    Introduction The User Interface The Avaya P460 Manager user interface is different for each of its management applications. However, the following elements of the user interface are common to all views: • Application Tabs - Tabs for accessing the Device Manager, Routing Manager, and SMON applications for the Avaya P460 Device.

    Tree View The Tree View shows a hierarchical representation of the structure of the Avaya P460 Device. To select ports, LAGS, modules supervisor modules, or power supplies, click their icons in the Tree View. When an element is selected in the Tree View, the corresponding element is selected in the Chassis View.

    Chapter 2 Chassis View The Chassis View is a graphical representation of the Avaya P460 Device. The Avaya P460 Device can contain several Avaya P460 modules. The Chassis View shows all of the device’s modules, LAGs, and ports. The colors of the modules, LAGs, and ports in the Chassis View reflect their status.

    This connection between the two ports is called a port redundancy. All Avaya P460 port redundancies provides a port redundancy service that operates even when the primary port link fails as the result of a failure of the module.
