All of these events and statistics can be transferred in five different ways, so that the PLC/DCS or user can be
warned that something is happening in the PROFIBUS network: a PROFIBUS input message, a diagnostic
message, an external diagnostics message, a trigger of the built-in alarm relay, or a message to the ComBricks
where it can be visualized and used for further alarming (via SNMP for example).
Events:
• Any change in the Livelist
• Fiber optic ring change
• Fiber signal level change
• Power change
• Cable Redundancy change
• Baudrate change
• Termination setting change
• Communication on a Channel started/stopped
• Alarm relay opened/closed

3.1.1 Enabling the Diagnostics Device

To enable the Diagnostics Device in the ProfiHub, set the rotary switch on the top left side to position 3, 4 or 5
(for a complete list of rotary switch settings, refer to the Technical Data chapter).
3.1.2 Changing the default PROFIBUS Slave address
By default the address of the Diagnostic PROFIBUS Slave of the ProfiHub is set to 126. To change the address,
use a configuration tool which supports the 'Set Slave Address' command. Most configuration tools support
this feature.
