MONOGRAM REFRIGERATORS
Fill Tube Heater
A fill tube heater has been installed on
this model to prevent fill tube icing.
The
heater (rated approx. 4 watts) is
positioned near the top of the aluminum
fill tube and is connected in parallel with
the defrost heater and the drain trough
heater.
Accordingly, the heater is only
energized when the refrigerator is in
defrost.
To access the fill tube heater and wires,
remove the ice bucket, icemaker, and
plenum.
Water Valve
The water valve is mounted behind the base
panel, on the bottom of the refrigerator. A
recessed area has been provided in the case
bottom to accommodate the valve.
A metal
cover encloses the water valve and wiring
harness.
The wiring harness lead wires
have push-on terminals that connect to the
water valve solenoid terminals.
A 1/4-inch
copper tubing stub is provided on initial
installation from the inlet of the valve
for connection to a copper water supply
line.
For access to the water valve, remove the
base panel and remove the metal cover.
Cover is secured with one screw in the
front and two tabs in the rear.
To remove the water valve, disconnect the
wiring leads, water supply line, and the
fill tubing connection.
Then remove the
screw from the valve bracket.
NOTE: On dispenser models the water
dispenser fill tube and wiring may be
attached to the water valve cover .
