    The best way to avoid ground loops is connecting the electrical system ground to one central point ("star" system). In this case the mixer can act as a central point. Before changing the ground, always turn off your amplifier. Please read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference. Remember that the amplifier has a better value on the market, if you save the carton and all packing materials.

    Description of the device Features With the IPS-ISS Intelligent Speaker Selector, it is possible to select 10 different speaker outputs. You can do this in 2 groups or 10 different selections. Selection manually or automatic. 24V DC function. 2-way background music, 1-way alarm input.

    Back panel Fig. 2 AC Inlet. This connector is meant for the connection of the supplied main cord. Connect one end of the power cord to the connector, the other end to the mains, then turn on the power switch (1) to operate the unit.

    Operation Installation Remove all packing materials from the IPS-ISS. Check that all foam and plastic padding is removed. Secure the equipment into a 19" rack. The IPS-ISS needs 2U rackspace. Connect all cables. Connecting the device Below an example of a possible setup.

    Alarm in connection. The 25-pin D-type connectors are used to input alarm signals. Pin 1-10 correspond to 10 channels CH1 – CH10. Pin 11-13 are not connected. Pin 14-25 is common (GND). Fig. 4 Emergency Alarm connection Use the 6.3mm cable to connect the ALARM OUT to REMOTE IN of an emergency alarm generator. As soon as the Alarm Matrix receives an alarm signal, the ALARM OUT will send an alarm signal to activate the emergency alarm.

    Maintenance The DAP Audio IPS-ISS requires almost no maintenance. However, you should keep the unit clean. Disconnect the mains power supply, and then wipe the cover with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in liquid. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
