PLAYING A DISC

Be
sure to reduce the volume be-
fore plugging in or unplugging the
headphones.
Be
sure to leave
the HOLD switch in
the Off position.

1.
Plug the cord from a pair of head-
phones into the PHONES socket.

2. Press the OPEN button to open the
disc compartment.

3. Hold the disc with the labeled side up
and press it onto the spindle until it
"clicks" into place.
4. Close the disc compartment.
The disc will begin to spin, the display
will indicate the total number of tracks
and tota~ playing time on the disc, then
the display wi!l go out.
If you
press
the Play/Pause (F/11)
button while "–" appears in the display,
play will begin immediately with track
number
