Make sure to put the kitchen scale on an even and stable surface. Keep the "0" button
down for 6 seconds until "CAL" starts to flash. Do not touch or move the bowl as long as
"CAL" is flashing.
4.
When "0" is displayed, the kitchen scale has been calibrated.
Cleaning and maintenance
Wipe the surface of the scale with a damp cloth with a little detergent water and wipe dry with
a soft, dry cloth or kitchen towel. Never use aggressive, corrosive scouring means that may
scratch the surface of the scale. Never immerse the scale in water or any other liquid and do
not place it close to strong heat such as e.g. a cooking table or a radiator.
Remove the bowl from the scale by pushing the button under the handle upwards and then
lift off the bowl.
Wash the bowl in hot water with a small amount of dishwashing means. Please note that the
bowl should not be washed in boiling water since it cannot take temperatures above 90°C.

Safety instructions

1.
Read the instructions carefully before use and keep the manual for future use.
2.
The appliance may never be immersed into water or other liquids. If the appliance gets
wet, dry it immediately, as liquids contain minerals that can make the electronic parts
corrode or destroy the electronics completely.
3.

4.
Never use strong, etching scouring means for cleaning the appliance.
5.
Children should be under supervision to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Children are not always capable of perceiving and assessing possible risks. Teach
children to treat electrical units with proper respect.
6.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped on the floor or if it shows obvious
signs of damage. In such case, the appliance should be handed over for repair with the
dealer, where it was bought.
7.
Only use new batteries of the correct size. Always remove used batteries as they may
leak chemicals that damage the electronic circuit of the appliance.
8.
The appliance is for domestic use only.
9.
If the appliance is used for other than the intended purpose, or used in violation of
the instruction manual, the buyer is entirely responsible for any consequences. Any
damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.
Environmental considerations and disposal of batteries
When substituting batteries it is essential to take the environment into consideration.
Used batteries must never be disposed of with domestic garbage. Batteries marked
with the icon indicating separate waste collection must be returned to one of the
authorized collection points. Batteries must be removed from the appliance before it is
disposed of. Also take care that the batteries are not expired or have become worn-out
since there may then be a risk that the batteries will leak acid. Check the best before
date on the batteries.
