9 Compatibility with Predecessor Products

Restrictions
Compared with previous modules, please note the following general restrictions:
S Existing project engineering data is not accepted without replacing the
previously used module type with the new module type in STEP 7 / HW Config;
S Removing / inserting the CP when the power supply is turned on causes an I/O
error on the CPU; this I/O error can only be cleared by turning the power supply
for the rack off and on again.
S The configuration data is stored only on the CPU (module replacement possible
without PG);
S Downloading the firmware requires the mode selector to be set to "STOP" and
the power supply must be turned off and on.
S The 15−pin D−sub connector for connecting AUI or Ind. Twisted Pair has been
omitted.
S The CP is not intended for operation with an S7−400H programmable controller
(fault−tolerant system).
