8. Ensuring the Printer Operation

Ensure the printer's operation according to the procedures shown below.
Start ensuring the printer operation after the printer becomes accustomed to the room temperature,
particularly in winter. Operating the printer not warm enough could cause a jam or trouble in printed
images.
Each procedure assumes the use of standard, A4-size paper for the test print after the printer installation.
8.1 Supplying Paper
Before turning on the printer, supply paper in the paper tray as shown below.
For details of the printer driver setting for the paper, see Operating Instructions attached to the CD-ROM.
Procedure for supplying paper
Paper tray
Side plate
End plate
(a) Draw out the paper tray from the
printer.
(b) Hold the stopper on the pair of side
plates, and adjust it to fit the width
of the paper.
(c) Hold the stopper on the end plate,
and adjust it to fit the length of the
paper.
