DO NOT use the vacuum cleaner if it is blocked. Turn off and clear all blockages before continuing. DO NOT use the vacuum cleaner with blocked filters. Clean filters before continuing. (refer to User Maintenance section). DO NOT use the vacuum cleaner if the appliance malfunctions, abnormal noise, smell, smoke, is dropped or damaged in any manner or any breakage is found during operation.
DO disconnect the appliance from the power supply when not in use, before changing the dust filter, cleaning the filters or connecting / disconnecting the accessories. DO use only on dry, indoor surfaces. DO use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
Assembly Method Please Note: Always remove the plug from the power socket before fitting or removing accessories. Ensure all Filters are fitted, and fitted correctly before using. Fitting Handle Insert the end of the vacuum cleaner handle into the hole in the top of the vacuum cleaner and push down until it locks into place.
Power Cord • Before using the appliance, remove the power cord from the storage hooks. To do this quickly, rotate the top Upper Cord Wrap Hook 180º and slide the power cord off. • Ensure the power cord is fully unwound without any tangles or knots.
Handle Tilt Release Pedal • To release handle, push the handle tilt release pedal located on the lower left side of the cleaner. CAUTION: Brush bar continues to rotate while the hose is removed or in use, and at all times while the cleaner is switched on. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from brush area while cleaner is switched on.
11 Above Floor Cleaning • Cleaner must be in its upright position to raise brush bar. Turn carpet height adjuster to “long” carpet pile setting. • Press handle/extension wand release button and pull handle/extension wand up to remove. • Pull hose end out of lower hose and remove the hose from the hose guide.
• Choose any of the tools to use or use the wand by itself. • Simply push the tool firmly onto the end of the extension wand. • To remove tool, twist and pull apart gently. 13 Carry Handle • Use the carry handle located on the top of the dust canister lid to move the cleaner from room to room.
14 Dust Canister & Filter Removal & Replacement WARNING: to reduce risk of injury from moving parts – switch off and unplug before servicing. • Press Dust Canister release button and remove Dust Canister from cleaner. • Hold Dust Canister over rubbish bin and press the Trap Door release button to empty.
• Refit (or replace) the dry and clean foam filter into the plastic assembly. • Refit the assembly into the cleaner and snap into place. • Refit foam filter cover and snap into place to secure. 16 Removing the Exhaust Air Filter The exhaust air filter cleans the air a final time before it leaves the vacuum cleaner.
• Refit (or replace) the dry and clean filter into its location and press down until it clips in place. • Refit the exhaust filter cover. Locate the left side of the cover first and then lower the right side down and snap into place to secure. •...
17.1 Cleaning Filters Important Note – the Filters must be cleaned regularly for best suction performance and to prevent over-heating and damage to your vacuum cleaner. Cleaning is best done at the same time when emptying the dust Canister after you have finish vacuuming for the day. NOTE: Never use the vacuum cleaner with wet or damp filters or without ALL filters fitted.
17.1.2 Exhaust Air Filter • Remove the filter assembly as described previously. Note: Only wash the filter if it is very dirty, otherwise just tap the edge of the filter on a hard surface to dislodge any dust and remove any large debris.
17.3 Belt or Brush Bar: Removal and Replacement Tools Required: Phillips Head Screwdriver WARNING: to reduce the risk of injury from moving parts, switch off and unplug cleaner before changing belt or brush. 17.3.1 To Remove Belt • Lay cleaner flat and flip cleaner over to expose bottom face of floor head. Floor Head should lay flat and face up.
17.3.2 To Replace Belt or Brush Bar • Slide belt onto motor shaft. • Place new belt over brush bar in the area as shown. (area of brush bar without bristles) • With new belt in place, pull and slide brush bar into floor head making sure that the brush bar end caps are located in the correct orientation.

17.5 Debris Removal: Hose / Vacuum Cleaner If you believe the hose has become blocked: • Check to see if Dust Canister is full; empty if needed. • Plug cleaner in and switch on to check if there is any suction at the end of the hose.

19 Troubleshooting If you have a problem with your vacuum cleaner, please check the following causes and remedies. If you still have problems, please call the service centre before returning the vacuum cleaner back to the shop. Not Plugged in. Ensure the plug is plugged in correctly and switched on. Check there is power to the power point.
