Master/Slave
Mode
Intimidator Wash Zoom 450 IRC User Manual Rev. 2
The Master/Slave mode allows a single Intimidator Wash Zoom 450 IRC (the master) to
control the actions of one or more Intimidator Wash Zoom 450 IRC products (the slaves)
without the need of a DMX controller. The master will be set to operate in either Stand-
Alone mode or with the IRC-6, while the slaves will be set to operate in Slave mode.
Once set and connected, the slaves will operate in unison with the master.

When including Intimidator Wash Zoom products in Master/Slave configuration
with Intimidator Wash Zoom 450 IRC products, you must observe the following:
When the Intimidator Wash Zoom product is the master and the Intimidator
Wash Zoom 450 IRC is connected as a slave, the Intimidator Wash Zoom 450
IRC must be set to DMX mode with a starting address of 001. DO NOT set the
Intimidator Wash Zoom 450 IRC in Slave mode when an Intimidator Wash
Zoom product is the master.
The Intimidator Wash Zoom 450 IRC will not operate as the master to an
Intimidator Wash Zoom product connected as a slave.
Configure all the slaves before connecting the master to the DMX daisy chain.
Never connect a DMX controller to a DMX string configured for Master/Slave
operation because the controller may interfere with the signals from the
master.
Do not connect more than 31 slave products to the master.
