Continuous Paper Does Not Feed Properly - Epson DLQ-3500II User Manual

Continuous paper is in the paper path.
The paper source is set to tractor feeding.
The paper is not loaded properly.
The head gap is set incorrectly.
Paper is creased, old, too thin, or too thick.
Paper does not eject completely.
Cause
The paper may be too long.
The paper does not feed properly with the optional cut sheet feeder.
Cause
The cut sheet feeder is not installed properly.
The cut sheet feeder cable is not connected to the
printer.
Too many sheets are loaded in the cut sheet
feeder.
The edge guides of the cut sheet feeder are not
positioned correctly.
There is only one sheet left in the bin.

Continuous paper does not feed properly

The tractor does not feed the paper.
Cause
DLQ-3500II/DLQ-3500IIN
Press the Load/Eject button to remove the continuous paper.
Select Manual/CSF as the paper source on the control panel and
insert a new sheet. (See "Switching to single sheets" on page 51 for
more information.)
Select Manual/CSF as the paper source on the control panel. (See
"Buttons and Lights" on page 17.)
See "Loading Single Sheets" on page 45 for instructions on loading
single sheet paper.
Make sure the Head Gap setting is set to AUTO or appropriate
value to match the thickness of your paper. See "Adjusting the
Head Gap" on page 35.
See "Paper" on page 126 for information on paper specifications
and use new, clean sheets of paper.
What to do
Press the LF/FF button to eject the page. Use paper that is within
the specified range. See the paper specifications in "Paper" on
page 126.

Reinstall it as described in "Installing the cut sheet feeder" on
page 112.
Make sure the cable is connected to the printer properly. See
"Installing the cut sheet feeder" on page 112.
Load less than the loading capacity according to the paper type.
See "Cut Sheet Feeder" on page 112 for more information.
Align the left edge guide with the arrow mark, then move the right
edge guide to match your paper's width.
Add more paper to the cut sheet feeder.
