No.
Problem
1
Reduction of the set pressure
The set pressure increases or
2
decreases as time passes.
3
Slow response
Increased leakage from the
4
bonnet breathing hole and
exhaust port
The set pressure changes
5
periodically.
6
Pressure does not increase.
7
Repeatability accuracy is bad.
8
Oscillation occurs.
There is leakage from the
ports other than the bonnet
9
breathing hole and exhaust
port.

Possible causes
Fluctuation of flow rate at the downstream side
Moisture, condensate and foreign matter stuck to the
flapper.
Leakage due to deterioration of the
rubber part.
High frequency ON-OFF operation on the downstream
side.
Pressure in the bonnet is reduced.
Aging deterioration of the regulator
Moisture, condensate and foreign matter stuck to
the nozzle and flapper.
Increase in the flow rate consumption on the
downstream side (such as leakage).
Leakage due to deterioration of
the rubber part.
Foreign matter caught in the seat
Supply pressure fluctuates.
Ambient temperature and fluid temperature change
Insufficient min. supply pressure
Due to problem 1.
Due to problem 2.
Leakage from the downstream side.
Downstream piping condition
Leakage due to deterioration of the rubber part.
Set the pressure again.
Return the flow rate at the downstream side to the initial rate.
Install a filter and/or mist separator to clean the air supply.
Ozone
Use the ozone resistant product (80- series).
Temperature
Avoid using at high temperature or low temperature.
Organic solvent
Take countermeasures to prevent organic solvent from the ambient
etc.
atmosphere or fluid.
Set the pressure again.
Release the pressure in the bonnet which is the reference pressure to
the atmosphere.
Set the pressure again.
Install a filter or mist separator to clean the air supply.
Prevent the leakage from the piping.
Ozone
Use the ozone resistant product (80- series).
Temperature
Avoid using at high temperature or low temperature.
Organic solvent
Take countermeasures to prevent organic solvent from the ambient
etc.
atmosphere or fluid.
Install a filter or mist separator to clean the air supply.
Perform flushing by releasing the downstream side to atmosphere.
Install the regulator on the front to reduce the fluctuation.
Take countermeasures to prevent temperature changes.
Increase the supply pressure.
Refer to problem 1.
Refer to problem 2.
Prevent the leakage from the piping.
Oscillation occurs depending on the condition. In that case, please
contact your SMC sales representative.
Consult SMC.
