Temperature monitoring

Internal temperature monitoring
A sensor is installed inside the heating controller to measure the internal temperature.
When a temperature threshold that is permanently set in the hardware is overshot, all
outputs (power outputs and external fan) are automatically switched off to prevent damage to
the device. The outputs can only be controlled again when the temperature has returned to
the valid range.
The following data or states are reported to the user:
● Current temperature measured value (see section Cyclic input data (Page 45))
● Disconnection due to excessively high temperature (see section Diagnostics data
(Page 47))
Heat distribution by means of internal fan
To achieve even heat distribution within the enclosure, an internal fan is used. The fan is
controlled depending on the internal temperature and is also monitored. If the fan is not
functioning correctly, a fault is reported to the user (see section Diagnostics data (Page 47)).
The fault does not cause the heating to be switched off.
