The symbols below the connector sockets <9> have the following significance:

The intensity control <6> serves for adjusting the massage intensity
as desired. It refers to the intensity display <7>. Allocated to the
control is the turn-down indicator <8>, which lights up whenever
the intensity control <6> is to be turned down to zero. The timer
starts running with regulation of the intensity control <6>.
The intensity display <7> shows the massage intensity selected (in
% of the maximum value).
The turn-down indicator <8> is allocated next to the intensity con-
trol <6>. It flashes whenever the intensity control <6> should be
turned to zero. This is the case following self-test routine, after time
has elapsed and when attempting to extend massage duration with
the intensity turned high.
The connector sockets <9> serve for connecting the spiral leads. For
instructions how to connect the spiral leads refer to section

The patient lead is not connected to the protective ground wire for maximum pro-
tection of the patient (the equipment is protection class I, type BF).
