If this box is checked (default), the router allows a remote host to specify its own
IP address. If the box is not checked, the remote host must use the IP address
assigned by the router from the IP pool, described in the next Field default of this
table. This assignment by the router is to prevent the remote host from using an
invalid IP address and potentially disrupting the network.
If this box is checked, the router provides the remote host with an IP address.
This field is required if the previous box (Allow user to provide IP address) is not
checked. You can select this capability even if the previous box is checked, in
which case the router accepts the IP address if the remote host specifies one;
otherwise, an IP address is assigned from the pool. The default is Not checked.
This field is active only if you checked the previous box. The address pool
contains two contiguous IP addresses, and this field specifies the first one in the
pool.
In this field, enter the number (1 or 2) of the addresses in the pool. For example,
if the starting address is 192.168.135.5 and the count is 2, the pool has
192.168.135.5 and 192.168.135.6.
