Checking for tightness on the flue side

A
Fig. 31
1. Check flue gas collector
tightness.
Danger
Escaping flue gas poses a risk to health.
Check gaskets on the flue gas collector and
adjust if necessary.
Note
In full load operation, the gaskets can be checked
with an inspection mirror, gas sensor or thermal
imaging camera. If required, remove the thermal
insulation components. Traces of condensate on
the outside of flue gas collector
of thermal insulation also indicate a leak.

Automatic tightness test of gas train valves

The burner control unit automatically checks both the
valves for tightness when the burner is started. If the
valves are gas-tight, the burner enters standard mode
and the burner starts.
If the first valve is not tight, fault code "F E1" is shown
on the burner control unit display. If the second valve is
not tight, fault code "F E2" is displayed.

Checking the gas train filter element

2. If necessary, tighten flue gas collector
nally to a torque of 10 Nm. Replace the lip seal in
the case of leaks.
Note
We recommend checking for tightness after
approx. every 500 hours run and, if necessary,
retightening the nuts and ensuring the gasket is
correctly seated.
3. Check the lip seal of the boiler flue connection for
tightness.
4. Check the flue gas temperature sensor and plug-in
connection for correct seating.
If the fault recurs, the gas train must be replaced in
both cases.
Danger
Escaping gas leads to a risk of explosion.
Check the test connectors for gas tightness.
2. Check screen at gas train intake for contamination.
If necessary, remove screen and clean carefully
with compressed air.
